Department of oral and maxillofacial surgery is a specialized department of dentistry bridging the gap between dentistry and medicine. Department has well equipped and accoutered under graduate course with all maxillofacial surgical instruments and now has a well-resourced modular set up of operation theatre, conscious sedation and minor operation theatre. Department has 32 dental chairs on which extraction are carried out smoothly by the undergraduates.
Minor Operation Theatre consists of 3 High end dental chairs for minor surgical procedures under local anesthesia. We also have sterilization room along with scrub area and recovery room. Our operation theater is well equipped with modern equipments including portable trolley, electric cautery, high vacuum suction apparatus Avant grade Anesthetic work station to perform major surgical procedures under general anesthesia and conscious sedation. Department also conducts CDE programs and workshops for undergraduates to upgrade their knowledge.
